Monday, July 4, 2016 - Drank over 2 days, with vacu-vin overnight. DAY 1: no decanting. eucalyptus and mint right out of the bottle - almost overwhelming. This settled down over a few hours to reveal black fruits with some sweet oak, herbal undertones, and a decent finish. DAY 2: much better! Integrated fruit, balanced tannins and acidity, good finish, with the same eucalyptus. This is drinking well now, and likely won't improve. Overall, this is a good wine that's a great example of an old school style updated with new world California fruit - not Bad, if you like that sort of stuff.
