Saturday, October 31, 2009 - Blackberry, plum, furniture polish (burned off later), licorice, and earth. Words like pure and supple come to mind. Needs food to balance the acidity and tannin. Unfortunately the tannin sucks away some of the mid-palate. Decent finish. Enjoyable, much better than the first bottle I tried.
