Saturday, December 25, 2010 - Excellent bottle, serious wine lying behind the bubbly part. Color of a honey gold, nose is crisp and fresh but with some complexity and secondary characters. Mouth is filling, rich and complex but perfectly balanced with superb acidity. Real Chardonnay, opulent and classy. A slight bitterish note in the mid-palate (less than absolutely optimal sanitary state of the fruit?). Long finish, great stuff. Not sure it will gain more by ageing?
