Friday, August 24, 2012 - Once again, a total crowd-wower. I didn't need to sell it -- first sip found friends exclaiming and demanding explication. Butterscotch and an amazing refusal to self-classify along the mineral/buttery divide. The nose suggests you're diving into some stone, but upon arrival the malolactic elements are very pronounced. Fully rounded, butterscotch joy, with some grassy notes and some holiday spices in there to boot.
