Friday, January 27, 2012 - Nose is black currant and plum, with a touch of cigar smoke and pepper. Flavors follow suit, with the addition of dark cherry and some spice. Overall well balanced, though I'm noticing a touch of alcohol heat initially that didn't strike me during the prior tasting. Let it breath for a bit. The wine is lush and does have a nice mouth feel, and a medium length finish. All in all still more refined than I would expect for the price.
