Love this wine. Drinking optimally for my palate. It's a deep garnet color. Nose is ripe berries and vanilla. Palate is the same with maybe the addition of plum and a small amount graphite.
Ruby color with orange rim. Aromas of cassis, tobacco, plum. Dark fruit, menthol, cedar, chocolate flavors. Full body. High acidity and tannins (smooth) and alcohol. Long finish. Surprisingly nice drink.

Dark crimson. Dark fruits, herbs, and eucalyptus on the nose. Cassis, licorice, and a hint of bell pepper on the palate, with smooth tannins. Can't beat the QPR, and drinking beautifully now.

Very good, but can find better for the money. Not as big of a cab as I like, but then again that's just the style and ability of Columbia Valley Cabs. A bit lighter & brighter cherry, and some herbs and gentle spice. Prefer some Chilean Cabs at this same price point.

Opened and let sit for about an hour. Poured through a Vinturi. The color depth is deep with a dark purple hue. There is a slight haze and this wine has medium legs. It is aromatic with aromas of Forest floor, Blackberry, and Black Olive. The taste is off-dry with medium-full body taste that is smooth. There is fair balance with flavorful intensity. It tastes like Cranberry, Prune, Blackberry, Cherry, Plum, and Dust. It has a medium-long finish. This is a $10 bottle. This is actually very good for the price. I am enjoying this glass and will have another with dinner.

Nose is black currant and plum, with a touch of cigar smoke and pepper. Flavors follow suit, with the addition of dark cherry and some spice. Overall well balanced, though I'm noticing a touch of alcohol heat initially that didn't strike me during the prior tasting. Let it breath for a bit. The wine is lush and does have a nice mouth feel, and a medium length finish. All in all still more refined than I would expect for the price.

Popped and let breath for an hour or so, on Maui last week. Had been wanting to try this after seeing the 93 pts this wine rcvd from WE. Wine was really tight, even after an hour or so of airtime. Dark fruit aromas on the nose, raspberry and bing cherry, but not memorable or anything special. Medium bodied w/flavors of dark chocolate, raspberry and some vanilla. Solid but not excellent, 2nd day this wine had not opened, and was nowhere near a 93 pt score IMO. This wine had a hard time keeping up w/the 07 Sebastiani Cab we popped at the same time, and was gone in a flash. Good, but nothing to wig out over.

A very nice quaffer with decent depth. Not a whole lot to write home about, but has nice plum & current fruit with some mint/tobacco (menthol?) & chocolaty oak to add some complexity.
Overall: A good value that I would buy again, but no way is it a 93 point wine (W&S). Above average when compared to other cabs within its price range.

Good daily drinker and a nice QPR at $12.99. Dark purple with red around the edges. Nose of cherries, raspberry/blackberry with some slight vanilla, caramel, dust and wet river rocks. Good fruit on the palate, cherries and dark fruit with some heat from the alcohol. Some spice and a little vanilla and oak. I will buy this again..

First impression is of pleasant red fruit. Enjoyable and not overpowering. If it weren't for the borderline low acidity, I'd almost want to throw a bottle in the cellar and see how that fruit tastes in a few years. Perfect for an informal dinner and a good answer as an American value wine comparable to a Cotes du Rhone or similar from Europe.

Definitely not a 93 point wine, but if you let it open up, the fruit expands on the palate and the dusty tannins are well integrated. To me, the big difference between this and a 93 point wine is the quality and complexity of the fruit (the fruit here is somewhat muted with more of a a raisiny character) and the shortness of the finish. The character of the tannins and the balance are more akin to what you would find in a much more expensive wine. Don't wirte it off when you open it and pour. Let it open up, and you will see definite improvement.

Dark, slightly hazy garnet/purple. Nose of ripe black cherry, blackberry and oak, smells more like an Aussie Shiraz than a WA Cab, probably because it does have about 10% Syrah and parts merlot and petit verdot. Ripe, but not heavy. Tart & sweet cherry, blackcurrant on the palate, with a flat midpalate, developing into some acidity and oak on the finish, which makes it feel more fresh than the unctiousness on the onset would suggest. Finish length is medium and is tart cherry, no heat (13.5%abv). Minimal tannin. Balance is a bit out of whack, definitely a fruit bomb, not super food friendly. Reminds me a lot of the Koonunga Hill Seventy-Six, but not nearly as flabby. Not sure how W&S got to 93.
Day 2: Seems more integrated, oak is dissipating and there's a bit of herbaceousness on the midpalate.

Popped and poured. Nose has some rubber, tar, smoke, vanilla and cherry notes. Pretty good nose overall, not what I was expecting. It's only 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remainder being 9% Syrah, 7% Merlot, 3% Mouvedre, 2% Petite Verdot, 1% Malbec and 1% Grenache. In other words, a cab heavy kitchen sink blend. The relatively low alcohol (13.5%) is actually a bit of a refreshing change compared to other Washington Cab blends. The flavor is a little bit syrah dominated, but the Cab still shines nicely. Smooth silky tannins, medium acidity and tons of fruit work well together. Overall though, it's a little thin and one dimensional. The finish is pretty long and drawn out thanks to that Syrah. Not a bad wine, but not great either. Not sure how W&S gave this 93 points.

Great wine, good deep red and tannic is surprising round for a 2008. A very good wine overall, excellent value and I have to go get more.

Ok for a west coast cab. Light body, not what I usually look for in a cab.

A bit light bodied, not very tannic. But pleasant flavor. Fruity over peppery.

Fruit forward with plenty of dark fruit, cola and chocolate. Balanced with fairly mild tannins and a good mouthfeel. Full bodied. Nice but not overpowering finish. For $15 at Costco, it provides a great QPR

A bit thin, opened up over time. For the price it was what I expected, but there are better bottles to be had for $10.

Always a good bottle. Inexpensive but surprisingly good. Dark cherry and raspberry palate. Smooth and nice finish.
