Tuesday, July 13, 2010 - On opening this had a bit of a tar taste on the back, but still had plenty of red berry fruit, but by the second night it was pretty good. I feel that if I had been able to decant for a couple of hours then drunk it it would have been at its peak.
Still it was a pretty good wine for a vintage which was not highly touted (largely because it was sandwiched between to outstanding years), and as usual is testament to the ability that Australian wines have to age well beyond what is written on the back label.
