Calm and simple, yet without any noticeable flaws. The wine was so whole and well rounded, that i couldn't think of anything that would've made it better. Recommended to every "old fashioned" wine drinkers.

On opening this had a bit of a tar taste on the back, but still had plenty of red berry fruit, but by the second night it was pretty good. I feel that if I had been able to decant for a couple of hours then drunk it it would have been at its peak.
Still it was a pretty good wine for a vintage which was not highly touted (largely because it was sandwiched between to outstanding years), and as usual is testament to the ability that Australian wines have to age well beyond what is written on the back label.

Leftover in the cellar. Severely aged, colour not severely affected: not any more enjoyable. Used for mulled wine :-(

Not faded, very dense, no rush to open and so dense that opening another is not that appealing. Did I ever really like wine that was this extracted?
