Thursday, August 6, 2009 - A new Shaw that arrived at Trader Joe's this week. Candied nose of pineapple, coconut, pear, apricot. Pineapple remains but less distinct sweet tropical notes on the palate, with some oak and too much acid. Longer finish than I expected from a Shaw. I prefer the smoother CA chard but won't be surprised if this turns into another big seller.
