The palate gives this away as New Worldish and Malbec heavy, which immediately puts the mind to Argentina; still, it is one of the three best Malbec blends I've had. It features great structure and pleasant fruit. The construction site nose transitions to a very nice terroir component which suggests a collaboration with an Old World producer.

I thought the assemblage could have benefitted from a greater proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, or perhaps Merlot, but I think that about almost all Malbec blends from Argentina. It was consumed beside a 2008 Fidelitas Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon which is a better wine, but this managed to hold its own. The QPR is just ok. Wines of equal quality can be had for less than half the price of this one.
