Thursday, May 19, 2011 - Color is surprisingly dark and dense; the color of blackberries. Not much to the nose, hints of oak and dark fruits with a touch of Eucalyptus. The palate is medium dense with good balance. Again, dark berries (in abundance) and a touch of oak are the dominant themes. The finish is pleasant and lingers with a bit of pucker towards the end. Overall, a nice wine that should continue to improve for several more years, especially since mine was 375ml. Not a blockbuster, but a very good wine. I intend to give my other bottle until at least 2014.
