Tuesday, February 9, 2021 - At first opening some off notes or vanilla and caramel but after 3 or 4 hours they have faded to a more balanced nose of more dark fruit and spice. Nice intensity on the palate with med+ finish, good balance and a bit of lingering tannin. A wine with some nice energy but perhaps on the down slope. My only bottle but if I had more I’d want to drink them soon. Still, a pretty classy Barolo.
