Saturday, July 3, 2021 - Blind tasting with the three amigos (chez moi): Starting to brick around the edges, compared to the 2002 Leoville Barton it was a little further along. Very aromatic and ready to drink Pauillac with some vanilla fudge, blackberries, cassis, but also freshness, sandpaper thin tannins that provides a structure and grip but mostly a mature profile with a soft round attack. Lovely. In my humble opinion this is the perfect example of a balanced Bordeaux wine that manages to be expressive, drinkable but also serious and elegant.
