Cork was soaked to near the top like the first bottle, so I wasn't optimistic. However, there was no sign of (old) leakage this time.
In any case, this was in great shape and a fascinating drink! I blinded my wife who thought this was a 2016 Cabernet. Really dense with good concentration and some fruit notes, but it was the earthy and tobacco character that I really dug. Not really Bordeaux-like, but I can see this evolving even further in the years to come. Big winner at the $2 I paid for this (average per bottle of 24 bottles).
