Thursday, April 4, 2013 - Super-ripe on the nose and although that settled down a bit, this was a very ripe, fruit-forward wine of little complexity and even less finesse. Although there was not the quirky acidity of bottles past, I don't hold this offering in any higher regard than most other E.S. offerings drank over the past few years. Give me the Behrens & Hitchcock wines of old and I'd be a much happier camper.
