Saturday, January 3, 2015 - Medium to golden straw with a nose of gentle botrytis, ripe, fleshy soft peaches and kiwi and petroleum. Quite insistent acidity in the mouth, beautifully balanced with ripe white fruits, apple and pear. This is what great Alsace Riesling is all about for me, and nobody does it better than Trimbach. Down to the last 5 bottles from 4 cases I bought when first released. If this bottle is typical (it may not be, I have had several oxidized bottles over the years) then it will drink well for another couple of years. But it won't get any better.
