But, after being open for 3 hours before a blind syrah/syrah blend tasting, very nice fruit on the nose and palate. Balance was stored under Argon for a day and re-opened. Still more fruit on the nose, still smoother on the palate. A little is left under gas again for another night. This wine really needs air/decanting, both, or time in the bottle to fully show. A great qpr. Note: cork was stained to the top, but it has been kept in perfect conditions for the 4 months I have had it. I hope that others have not been damaged and I can spread out my consumption of the remaining 8 bottles for a few years.
