Thursday, September 2, 2010 - Delicate barnyard, tangy orange-like acidity, floats like a butterfly, has the delicate structure to ground it in the dirt. There's nothing "big" about this wine but it has really good depth. This is a really impressive near d'avola. The grapes are grown at only 250 meters but this has the grace of high elevation nerello mascalese. It kept its composure over two nights but was a bit better the first night, so I'd drink this over the next few years.
