Wednesday, March 24, 2010 - Had at a Casa Lapostolle event. Forgot to ask how long they'd had it open - double decanted I suspect. We were told 48/18/18/6% Carmenere/Merlot/Cab/Petit Verdot (although that differs from the sales sheet on the web I see.) Ungrafted vines for the Carmenere and Cab.

Dense, luminous garnet. Nose and flavors of black currant, mulberry, black pepper, nut hulls, pencil lead, dusting of herbs. Young, of course, but absolutely sensational nevertheless right now. Elegant, velvety, long finish. I couldn't sit still with this. An electric beauty.
