Friday, March 12, 2010 - Massive fruit attack, cherries together with smoky bacon (!). Semi-long finish with some heat permeating a full and lush palate, but not too much - not over the top. After two hours in the glass the wine started showing mature red fruits. Strawberries and tayberries joined by a symphony of sun and a present but very humble touch of oak. This may not be a typical Pinot but it is an impressive effort which should be embraced for what it is - a very fine bottle of wine.
