Friday, May 1, 2020 - Checking my previous notes on this amazing wines the last time I had the Dominus 02 was 7 years ago. My patience was certainly rewarded. The wine has definitely evolved although at a glacial pace. Used Coravin to pour circa half the bottle in a decanter and aerated for an hour and drank over 2. Blackish crimson very dense wine. On the nose blackberries and spices, plums and hints of licorice almost reminiscent of Angelus. Very powerful yet velvety entry on the palate, amazing structure and complexity mid palate and perfect balance and acidity, the wine finished with very fine and sweet tannins, and a long mocha tinged finish. Still have the other half of this bottle to drink along with my remaining 3 bottles. Next one in a few years!
