Wednesday, December 15, 2021 - Served blind. I was all over the place with my guesses. But we had some smart red wine palates at the table who helped center this to Bordeaux, left bank. Wrong! This showed a cool mix of what to me seemed like a new/old world marriage of flavors. The California sun reflected in the wine, with some ripeness that was integrated and showing very well. Yet, there was cedar, pencil shavings and one remark about olive. Overall, this was drinking great for me and remaining fresh and balanced, along with aging well at almost 20 years.
