Saturday, March 23, 2013 - This one was singing. Fairly transparent ruby. Slightly reticent nose due to some heat, with coaxing there is spice and bramble. On the palate, delicious dark red fruit, leather, spice, tea, a slight savory element. Medium- acidity. Finish goes on and on and on with a tinge of heat. Good but not great balance, but the depth of flavor somewhat make up for the one or two shortcomings. 14.5%
