Friday, April 28, 2017 - Sour cherry, coffee, spices, pleasant nose but with a ripe, bruised even oxidative pallor to the fruit that casts a pruny element over the nose. Palate has enough tannin that it's hard for me to enjoy this right now, bitter and raw rhubarb-like. Kind of severe and not much charm, though plenty of Nebbiolo character here. Heavy flaky sediment in the last glass, need to decant the next bottle.
