Monday, October 18, 2010 - this followed a 1993 tokaji aszu essencia, so it was a tough act to follow. this was more full-bodied and showed peach and apricot flavors with a some citrus fruit and honey and little smoke and ginger. this didn't have nearly the acid that the tokaji had, so it made it seem a little more top-heavy and out of balance. overall, it was a very good wine and i would have probably appreciated it more in a different context.
