Saturday, August 15, 2015 - This is amazing. Old world stank dominates the nose. My wife characterized this wine as thick and she's not wrong about that, but not throwing sediment. Bricking apparent when pouring but not so much in the glass. More barnyard on the palate but also some red berry fruit (my wife insists it's more like cherry) and wild spice. Earth and tobacco. The finish is long. A little better with food than on it's own when the barnyard is a little too much perhaps?
