Saturday, May 1, 2010 - Popped and poured. The nose was pretty classic mature Bordeaux with berries, leather, earth, spice and some basil/mint type notes. Palate showed some nice cherry fruit with medium body weight and an easy finish. Wine started to fade after about an hour in the glass and became a little sour/bitter on the finish. I was expecting nothing, but was pleasantly surprised.
