Friday, October 11, 2013 - Dark purple ruby. Nose of over ripe fruit and over ripe cherry and plumb. Also a typical astringency I associate with Sonoma and Calif tempranillo. Initial burst of fruit. Cherry, plumb and choke cherry. Very full and plush mouthfeel - too mushy actually, showing a lack of sophistication. Taste transforms to wood, cedar, grape skin bitter and petrol. Length is very long. Tannins strongest on the front palate.
