Friday, February 3, 2017 - Very intact. Transparent ruby with very slight bricking/watery rim variation. Dried cherry and bay leaf...surprising amount of fruit (that shows signs of the warm vintage) left. Nose would lead to more maturity. Palate was "velvety"...maybe too much so. Would have liked a little more energy and acid to balance out fruit. Others might give higher score as I tend to favor acid above all in balance/harmony. More masculine compared to Magnien and Mugnier...missing ethereal element that a good/great Chambolle delivers.
