Tuesday, November 25, 2014 - A private lunch (Restaurant De Gieser Wildeman *, Noordeloos, Netherlands): Deep brown colour, the appearance of motor oil; very aromatic nose, not too sweet, nuts, flowers, raisins, spices, liquorice root and meat extract, fresh but deep and intense; the palate is powerful and rich, sweetness kept in check by well-balanced oak, rich and layered flavours, very good length.
