Sunday, December 9, 2007 - A big complex nose with strong tobacco and leather notes over top of cherry. The unique nose continues onto the palette with the tobacco turning into a peppery blend of smoke and dark fruit that has a lingering finish that seems to fall a bit flat. For such a heady bouquet the final fruit is a bit under whelming but the flavor profile is unique if not downright delicious. An interesting wine that might be further enhanced with some string cheese or sausage dishes.
