A big complex nose with strong tobacco and leather notes over top of cherry. The unique nose continues onto the palette with the tobacco turning into a peppery blend of smoke and dark fruit that has a lingering finish that seems to fall a bit flat. For such a heady bouquet the final fruit is a bit under whelming but the flavor profile is unique if not downright delicious. An interesting wine that might be further enhanced with some string cheese or sausage dishes.

More dark, leathery soicy Toro fruit. Very evolved from earlier tastings. Perhaps a little petillance on the edge. Excess CO2 as the wine matures -- is it starting to break down? Something is not just right here

Lots of dark fruit and very rustic funk. Tannins never really merge in...if they would this could be an amazing wine. Not allot of complexity, elagance or length, but enough of the right flavors to stand out in the price point.

Very thin up front, probably a characteristic of the grape. Fruit is flat. Giant tannins in the middle and end, not my favorite wine by far.
