Friday, March 3, 2017 - Decanted over 5 hours. In all honesty almost no amount of decanting is going to do it - the wine is just too young at this stage. There was a nice, typical Bartolo perfume - classic Bartolo but after an hour or so I felt it started to shut down on the nose and go to a strange place. The wine was good but the constant thought of lost potential kept entering my mind. Not ready to drink and I have no way of rating what I think this might be. I honestly believe this will be a great wine, and for the record Bartolo is my favorite Piedmonte producer, but today I would advise holding these for another 20 years.
