Sunday, April 6, 2014 - We drank this wine directly after a 2001 Manzoni Barolo. This wine still has some big tannins, but I was most struck by a big graphite terroir flavor in the wine that started early body and carried through the finish. Fruit on this wine starts large in the mid-body and develops nicely, red first fading to darker fruits that linger. Very nice wine that will drink well for at least a decade. I'm not going to open my last bottle of these for a few more years.
