Wednesday, March 28, 2012 - A pale yellow color, 14.3% abv. Not sure if I have ever had this particular varietal before. The nose leaps out with a very odd strawberry and cracked white pepper quality, with definite anise in the mix. The nose is very open and inviting, and delicious. In the mouth, the medium-bodied wine presents the pepper singing behind bright citrus fruit and ample acidity, with a lingering sweetness to the white fruit profile during the moderately long and voluptuous finish. There is zing, minerality, fruit...this wine is really delicious. Has a few great years ahead of it, IMHO. Bravo.
