Still deeply red and almost opague. This was so much the younger wine than the 95 and 96 corton we had. Infused brooding black cherries, some woodspice and quite shy . Dark soy notes does surface with time. Strucutured palate with hard characteristics. Kinda rough and ruggard. Big wine with extraction. Probably really needed another 10 years to come together. As of now, quite awkward.
