Monday, January 30, 2017 - Nice light hit of fruit on entry—typical cab cassis and, also, some red fruit and I’m thinking plum. Noticeable tannin, although, for the most part I’m saying that the years of sideways have tamed tannin quite a bit. A bit of dustiness mid-palate. Something of a sour or bitter tinge on the rear palate. Nothing to be concerned about, though. Tannin and acid suggest more improvement from additional aging, but I see no downside to drinking now.
