Monday, June 7, 2010 - A dark ruby colored wine with a complex nose of spice and black cherry with a pleasant mesquite-type smoke note in the background that was not overpowering and was an enjoyable element. A mouth-filling wine with a nice finish of cherry and plum that was enjoyed with carne asada and al pastor tacos from Adelitas Taqueria. On day 2, the wine showed more smoke and oak notes, but was still quite enjoyable.
