Tuesday, July 9, 2013 - Beautiful ruby with pinkish rim; floral, pretty red fruit, strawberry, but then there was some youthful notes of blue and purple berries; round on the entry with a firm snap of fruit and acidity on the finish, soft fruit in the mid and violets echo on the finish; very 2008 and a little boring at first with no NSG character; gave the remainder of the bottle an hour of air and the wine came alive, the midpalate filled out and the wine gained richness and power, red currants, more tannin, and more recognizable NSG nuances.
