Andreas who had this blind went originally for a fresh 10yr old Syrah from Rhone valley , guessing from our inventory this was the 2007 St Joseph from Chave. Such was the spice in this !
Fresh and felt really cool climate , soft too but quite the fresh and youthful wine . Definitely a good amount of oak albeit not toasty , was used here and the wine albeit good felt a touch one dimensional and lacking complexity for the pedigree. We have 2 more and these we will forget for 5yrs minimum. 91 for now
