Monday, April 19, 2010 - An astonishing value at under 10 Euros. Appetising salty aroma, concentrated fresh core of tightly-wound, yeasty fruit, long finish. Knocks almost any white table wine at this price level right out of the ring, and bears its 15% alcohol with grace and delicacy, which is more than I can say for a supposedly seminal Chilean Chardonnay I had the other day. (Puffed by its "discoverer" at the once-august Wine Society in Stevenage as his "discovery of the year", the Chardonnay cost more than twice as much as this delicious Tio Pepe, had 14,5% alcohol and tasted... like the beached whale it was). 91P
