90 Points

Saturday, May 21, 2011 - 15.8% alcohol. Dark ruby red. Expressive red and black fruit aromas can be detected from several inches away from the glass. Rasberries, black cherry, smoke and a little pepper on the palate. Well balanced, no observable alcohol. Lingering aftertaste.

A signiture Howell Mt. wine. The discernable structure should allow for improvment over the next 2-4 years.
