Thursday, October 6, 2016 - notes of blackberry at first, paired well with T-bone steak and corn and avocado salad, after about half an hour it opened up more, with notes of cassis, black cherry. The cellaring experiment worked! It definitely improved since 2013 and is now a high quality wine. Perhaps a bit thinner than a top merlot but it's close!
It paired very well with dessert: dried candied ginger with dark chocolate!
