Saturday, July 2, 2011 - Very expressive - quite a bit more open, spicy and powerful than the 2007 tasted recently. This bottle shows a lot more similarity to an SQN 06 Raven syrah tasted earlier this year than other tastings of this or other vintages of Lillian, with intense, concentrated fruit and peppery spice that's a bit too intense on night one. After this mellows on night 2, the floral side of this wine comes out more and becomes more enjoyable to me. Give this time, or lots of air. 93-94
