Friday, August 8, 2014 - Bought at Leoville Poyferré in St-Julien. It smells like dark fruit and in particular it smells like cassis. Clearly, the cabernet is showing itself. Currently, it is very pleasant. Not sure if it will improve, but it is already very pleasant and should stay like this for a few years. Without being an extraordinary wine, it had more definition than the Soutard 2003 that was drunk with it. Cassis aromas and flavours - very pleasant and well defined. I enjoyed it and look forward to tasting its big brother Léoville Poyferré. The 1990 tasted like blackberries, this one is black currants. Good wine worth its price.
