Thursday, February 20, 2014 - Popped and poured at home. All I can say is "wow!" Luscious ruby red, lightening toward the rim. Somewhat viscous, not opaque but dark. Lovely melange of red fruit and oak in the nose is very attractive. Wordier on the palate but still with plenty of complex fruit flavors to stand up to the wood. Quite smooth and sleek as far as mouthfeel. Wood dominates a bit in the finish, but this is still nice. 4-13-14-7: 88/100. Will it plump up with air?
