Sunday, September 18, 2016 - The 1982 Palmer for me is a wine that is on its fully maturity plateau for some time already with this last 2-3 bottles showing signs of slightly past it's prime. Very fine and elegant nose beautiful tertiary, cedar, a slight mint/eucalyptus touch, but such an inviting floral characteristic with violets, roses that in my opinion is a registered mark from great Palmer. The palate is very fine, delicate, completely balanced offering an outstanding classy wine, but time to drink!
