95 Points

Saturday, October 27, 2018 - LaLaLa tasting #6:

89% Syrah, 11% Viognier. 40-42 months on 100% new oak. Old vines. While clusters, meceration with traditional pump over (remontage), no pressing down.

First vintage produced in 1966, supposed to have been similar in style since the start.

Young and vibrant nose with floral notes, red berries, pickled strawberries, violet, cloves, glogg, oriental spices, tar and chocolate.

Fresh mouthfeel, beautiful acidity, grippy tannins, concentrated but elegant. 95p, huge potential!
