Sunday, September 2, 2012 - Opaque dark purple showing heavy concentration that has purple streaking down the glass after the swirl. Plenty of sediment, that required decant and filtering.
Boysenberry and black licorice aromas play on the nose first, with ancillary aromas of cherry cordial, huckleberry, violets, kirsch and sassafras.
The palate is rich with fig paste, concentrated plum, huckleberry,boysenberry, chocolate, cinnamon, allspice and black licorice. Moderate length on the finish.
