Medium bright red in color, with a tone / hint of brown / aging edge. Clear.
Wonderfull nose, herb garden, gentle modest spices, soft sour red berries and an underlying tone of summer fresh sweetness, I can not stop to smell.
With a little time, a hint of forest floor, spring forest and wood.
A bit like the wines we had earlier witch you can not take away from the nose.
Nice fresh fruit, sour raspberry rolls through your mouth. Mild spices. Round fine tannins bites well at the end. Balanced, fit and medium complexity, medium deep.
It is certainly an enchanting wine, providing plenty of fruit, good varied tastes, exciting, with trilling corners in the taste picture. One should perhaps not use "but" in these cases, but I have to mention that it feels a little lighter than some of the ohter DRC I have tasted. One can feel a "great / super" burgundy in the glass, all though not taking it all the way to heaven, still very very close. This is like hammering through delicious meter-deep Norwegian westcoast powdersnow a cold january day, drop a 10m cliff, landing it as if it were no stress. And then you think back on the previous season, remembering the day when it was 10cm more snow, light as in Alaska and flying a little bit longer. This is still great.
